Adult Hebrew Classes

Hebrew school is not just for kids anymore!  Over a dozen adults are studying Hebrew. Classes are small, supportive, and carefully paced to help each student progress in fluency and understanding. Is your child beginning Hebrew and you wish you could learn the letters as well? Do you know the letters, but wish you could read the prayers more quickly in Hebrew to keep up with the congregation? Can you read the prayers, but would like to understand the meaning as you read?

If you are interested in learning to read Hebrew or understand the prayers, we have a class for you.  Please see the signup sheet in the front lobby for more information.

Lunch And Learn

Galileo and Newton Taught us that "a body in motion remains in motion unless acted upon by an outside force."  There is no "outside force" that will stop the Wednesday (12:30) Torah sudy classes.  If the Rabbi can't be there someone else is "Rebbe for the day".  And there is always room at the table for another participant.

Each lesson feeds upon its predecessors but is enlightening on its own.  This is a "drop-in" opportunity.

Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah

These classes, taught by the Rabbi, are a means to developing basic Jewish knowledge and skills. Each topic is its own unit and is open to novices and experts alike. Topics covered will include Jewish Beliefs and Jewish People; Jewish Texts; Jewish Days and Holy Days; Jewish Liturgy; Jewish Life and the Life Cycle; The Jewish Land. Each topic is its own unit and is open to novices and experts alike. Whether or not your goal is to become a Bar or Bar Mitzvah, you will find these classes enjoyable and informative.
