Temple Emanu-El is a vibrant Reform Jewish synagogue, established in 1961. Our history reveals a proud record of leadership in social issues and inclusive membership policies. We welcome individuals of any race, sex, ethnic background, physical capability, sexual orientation, national origin and marital status. We are proud to be considered a home for seniors, singles, young parents, children, interfaith families, and people from all walks of life and covering the entire spectrum of religious observance.

Temple Emanu-El offers something for everyone: whether you are looking for spiritual fulfillment or social outlets, if you are hoping to increase your knowledge of Judaism and texts, or wish to find ways to serve the greater community, Temple Emanu-El has something for you!

Our Religious School provides a complete Reform Jewish education from Kindergarten through Grade 12, and is also certified to offer special education classes.

We have an active and extensive adult education program, which includes ongoing classes such as Lunch n' Learn, Torah Study, Book Club, Beginners and Intermediate Hebrew, and weekly interdisciplinary courses. We also run nationally renowned Scholar-in-Residence programs and an Adult Confirmation program. Adult B'nai Mitzvah and Conversion Courses are also offered as needed.

Temple Emanu-El is recognized for our Social Action initiatives, such as our community food pantry which provides for local families in need; our annual Mitzvah Day, and our Interfaith outreach programs. In 2012 we completed a two-year environmental certification Program through Greenfaith, and we are one of the first Synagogues in the area to start a community garden.

Over the years Temple Emanu-El has earned a reputation as a beacon of contemporary Jewish music, offering concerts from prominent musicians including Nefesh Mountain, Danny Maseng, Debbie Friedman z"l, Dan Nichols, Sheldon Low, Neshama Carlebach, and Craig Taubman. The second Friday of each month is a Shabbat ALIVE! service with a three-piece band, and we hold monthly Shabbat morning musical Shabbat B'Shir services.

We invite all individuals to visit our facilities and attend one of our Shabbat services or upcoming events.
